I do not think so , i beleive it is the same plug , i know the mounting is exactly the same. I'm gonna check and get back to you on it...Edit in, yes i think the 86 came with a different plug, it shows in here, http://starquest.i-x...03530512883f265 But its a easy swap , i have installed the 88 alternator in the d-50 pickup trucks and its the same as that 86 in the pictures.
